Effective October 6th, 2025, the Division of Biology and Medicine has sunsetted the Senior Officer Approval (SOA) process for discretionary spending requests.

While the SOA review process has been discontinued, travel request approval continues to be required for travel expenses not 100% funded by donor funds or a grant. 

Please use the new travel request form for all travel requests and note that all international travel should adhere to current Brown University High Risk Travel policies.
